Shopping with this brand will ensure your softboard is made entirely from post-consumer plastic waste. This includes the bottom of the boards, leash plug, fin boxes, fins and the fin key. Pretty cool, right?
When you’re done with your board or decide to upgrade, you can even take it back to the store for it to be recycled and used again.
The only minor inconvenience to shopping here is that they only offer Australia based shipping, so if you’re in that country then great, but if not, you’ll have to hang fire until worldwide shipping is introduced.
The Eco-Board Project
The eco board offers the same quality and performance as any other surfboard, except they’re made from recycled or up-cycled materials.
They are each awarded either a Level One or Gold Level label, which confirms that it has some of the following features:
- Reduced carbon footprint
- Recycled or up-cycled materials or the ability to be renewed
- Manufactured in a way that reduces toxicity
